New Labeling Solutions Made from Straw and Hemp Paper
The design of UPM Raflatac SmartChoice™ and SmartCircle™ products is guided by three words – Reduce, Recycle, Renew – with the overarching aim to enable printers and brands to reach beyond their sustainability targets.
We are excited to partner with Mohawk Papers in the launch of pressure sensitive label products constructed with Renewal® Straw and Renewal® Hemp papers. These products will enable companies to use renewable materials and post-consumer waste in labels; thus, together we can mitigate the impact of packaging on the environment.
Renewal® Hemp Labeling Solutions
Pressure sensitive adhesive products made with Renewal® Hemp are already available for wine, spirits and craft beverage (WSCB) and CBD end uses. UPM Raflatac designed these new labeling materials using wet strength alkali face technology, so the labels stay intact in wet environments.
